Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) card – 30,000 bonus point offer for both the personal and business versions – Back on May 30th, SPG and Amex rolled out a limited offer that was at first only available by referrals from an existing card holder. Then within a few days the offer went public and anybody could apply for the offer without a referral. Chase Freedom – 20,000 Bonus Point offer – The Chase Freedom card is currently offering 20,000 points/$200 after you spend $500 in the first 3 months. The standard sign-up bonus has been 10,000 points worth $100, so double the offer is good. This offer tends to come around a couple of times per year so if now is not a good time for you it will likely come again.
In addition to the 20,000 points/$200 bonus you will also earn another 2,500 points or $25 when add an authorized user to the account and make a first purchase. What makes this card having in spite of the lower value sign up bonus’ that are typically offered is the ability to earn 5% back on the card at rotating different categories every quarter such as this quarter which is gas stations and Kohl’s.
The Chase Freedom card earns Ultimate Rewards points but by itself they can only be redeemed for cash. However, if you have a Sapphire Preferred card or one the Ink Bold or Plus cards you can combine the points and transfer to the various airline and hotel partner programs making them even more valuable. Plus, with no annual fee, this is a card you can hold forever.
Lufthansa Miles & More – 50,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 within 90 days – With Miles & Mores’ Mileage Bargain program this offer will net you enough miles for a round-trip business class ticket to Europe! Or if you want to stay local it would be good for 2 round-trip domestic tickets on United Airlines.
