Yesterday I talked about the limited time offer for a higher than normal sign up bonus from Chase on the Ink family of cards. To sum up the offer, for a short-time only you can receive 60,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months on the Ink Bold charge card or the Ink Plus credit card. Chase also increased the bonus on the Ink Cash card to 30,000 points or $300.
But what if you just recently opened an Ink card under the normal public offer? Are you out of luck? Nope, like I mentioned yesterday, Chase is really good at honoring the higher bonus if you have just opened a card under a lower offer. In fact the general rule is that if you opened an account within the last 90 days Chase will generally up your bonus if you ask.
All you need to do is log into your Chase account online and click on the Secure Message Center > Send New Message, you can send a quick request to Chase to apply the new higher offer to your existing account. I just opened a new Ink Bold account in early February putting me at just a little under the 90 day mark. I hopped online last night and sent a quick request to Chase asking if they would be willing to apply the offer to my account. Chase customer service was on the ball and within just a few hours I had received a response stating they had applied the additional 10,000 points to my account! Score!
This offer is bound to end pretty fast so don’t waste any time. If you plan on picking up this card you need to get your application in right away. If you have already opened any of the Ink cards within the last 90 days you need to log in to your account and send a request to have your bonus increase ASAP!!
