Amex is currently is offering the JetBlue card with a bonus of 20,000 TrueBlue® points after $1,000 in spending in the first 3 months of card membership. Previous offers typically gave 10,000 bonus miles however there were some 20,000 targeted offers going around. This offer is a publicly available offer for anyone interested.
Although you won’t be able to get as much value out of JetBlue’s points as you can on some of the major carriers, it doesn’t mean they can’t be valuable. If nothing else they can be used for positioning flights. Let’s say you are looking to book an award ticket for one of the other carriers but there is little availability out of your home airport. One option to possibly find availability is to search other relatively near by airports. If you find availability, you could always consider using JetBlue points to get you to that airport. Or maybe you need a positioning flight for a mileage run..
Anyway, it isn’t the greatest deal in the world, but for some it can be pretty beneficial! Also keep in mind that you can still earn 1,200 plus easy miles via JetBlue’s new TrueBlue Badges program.
